Clay MIlls is a producer and multi-Grammy nominated songwriter living in Nashville, Tennessee. His latest hit recorded by Darius Rucker,"History in the Making", reached #2 on the charts. Clay's song, “Beautiful Mess,” recorded and performed by Diamond Rio, stayed on the charts for a record-tying 49 weeks.

His songs have been recorded by many County artists, including Lady Antebellum, Reba, Trisha Yearwood, Andy Griggs and American Idol alum Kimberley Locke.

In his 20+ years career, he has also written, produced, played and sung on television and radio commercials for the Armed Forces, Red Lobster and other corporations. His most recent number 1, the Darius Rucker single “Don’t Think I Don’t Think About It,” helped to break Rucker into Country music super stardom.

Clay is also a member of the band SML, the trio he shares with notable hit songwriters Mark Selby (“There’s Your Trouble"- Dixie Chicks), and Sonny LeMaire (of Exile fame).
